Day 7- we're going home

Today is the day we start our 7 hour drive home.
We had an early start because we had a lot of stuff to pack up, our first stop we drove to the Jamaica Inn. As we sat eating our lunch, Ian told us about all the burglars and smugglers and ghosts of people that had been murdered in the inn. There was actually a plaque less than 2 metres away from me saying " Joss mereln was murdered here." Lovely
After that we drove another few hours to stone henge but it was dark by then so all we could see were shadows. Another few hours later we dropped off nanny, grabbed some Indian takeout and crashed at home

Day 6 Cornwall

We started off the day with a full English breakfast cooked by Alison and Ian :)
Then we visited a place that my mum and dad stayed before I was born called Sennens Cove.
After that, Lands End and it was so windy I could barely open my car door :0
Finally we drove to the Minack Theatre where my mum and my dad performed shows together, it is a theatre completely dug out of a rocky cliff by one woman and her gardener. There we scattered some of my dad's ashes and even in death he wanted to annoy us, so he blew back into our faces.
That night I cooked a chicken korma and we partied the night away. Not.

Day 5 in Cornwall!!

today it rained all day so we spent most of the day driving and hiding out in pubs
First of all we went to visit a old tin mine because Cornwall is famous for its tin mining. Most of the mines we saw were old abandoned ones, and they stuck out of the ground in random places. Then we drove to St Ives to have lunch at the sloop Inn. Gerard and I had Cornish beef burgers and hot chocolates with a real stick of chocolate In it :)
After that we went to visit the local craft market and my brother bought me a little silk purple owl, it'ssooo cute ;)
After lunch we hit the shopping centre because the radio was predicting gale force winds and heavy downpour and we wanted to get home early. And the weather certainly gave us gale force winds!
Since we had a few hours doing nothing at home, we discovered that we were actually staying across the road from an abandoned church!! Creepy...
That night I cooked spaghetti bolognase and our Auntie Alison and her partner Ian arrived at about 11.

Day four, Shelagh

Today we got up early to start the 6 hour drive to the lovely county of Cornwall. We also dropped by some shops and banks before we picked up my nan to take her with us.
We drove for two hours to the house of an old colleague of my mums called Shelagh, and her husband Richard. They lived at a beach house which was extremely cute. After we settled in we went for a walk on the beach with their dog Scruff. There was also a playground their which we had entirely to ourselves, and let me tell you, I had so much fun.
That night we had Moussaka which is a Greek lasagna with Aubergine ( eggplant)

The next day we set off for Cornwall!!!
The drive wasn't too bad, we saw some great sights and had a lovely lunch at the Coach and Horse pub in Winterbourne. My nan and I had nachos which she found very spicy and couldn't finish it.
Finally we arrived and after a while of driving in circles to find our cottage we arrived. The place we are staying is so cute! It's all old style English mining cottage, so sweet :) mum cooked us lamb chops for tea, my favorite :)

Day three

Today was a fairly relaxed day, we visited some old friends of mums and one of them gave us ten pounds to spend. Then we got home about 5 and it was already really dark and had pasta bake which was really good. Then at about ten our cousin Louis arrived home from a show he has been doing for weeks. It was so good to see him.

That was all that happened really, so bye
This is a picture of the house that I lived in when I was 5 months old before we moved to Australia.

Day two in England

This morning I woke up about 6 due to jetlag, what fun
We went for a walk in the woods with the family dog Cindy then we drove home for lunch, egg and bacon muffins there we went to visit my Nan who is 89 and recently bought an IPad. She has no idea how to use it.
That's all we really did today, pretty boring I know. Anywhoo,
More tomorrow, Gen

Flight to London :)

Hey everyone ( although no one actually reads my blog)
After getting to bed at about 3 in the morning we still woke up at about 8.00. Then we went down to breakfast and the spread of food there was amazing!! There were pancakes, waffles, hot food such as bacon, sausages, toast, fruit, cereal, yoghurt, muesli, juice, all these cultural soups, bread and muffins, cheese platters, it was all soooo good!!
After breakfast we went to the airport and I went shopping in the duty free area and bought some Dubai jewelry as well as some Christmas presents for friends ;)
Then we went to get lunch, and I had fish and chips with saffron rice, it was interesting.
Finally we boarded our plane, and we were actually early today. We got the same good movies, food and drinks so I was all happy.
7 hours later we landed and went through all the passport control queues. The good news is, our bags made it as well! Our uncle Andrew picked us up and drive us to his house where we basically crashed straight away.

Will post more tomorrow, byeee
